Leonardo Cruciano

Prosthetic Makeup Artist, Character Fx Creator and Visual IFX Supervisor and founder supervisor of the Imaginari Factory.

Already Art Director and founder of the famous Makinarium SFX and for 3 years Art director of Baburka Factory sfx, he’s been working in the cinema industry for over 20 years, integrating visual effects with mechanical ones, creating creatures, special props, special makeups and animatronic wonders for cinema, television, the art world, fashion and show business in general.

In 2015 wins 2 David of Donatello (Italian Oscars) as concept creator and supervisor of the creatures, Special make up and Visual effects of “The Tale of Tales” by M. Garrone, to which will follow the “Carlo Rambaldi Prize” and the “MAM – Master of Fine Arts” and the nomination to the “2020 Guild Awards” as Best Prosthetic Makeup for Micheal Bay’s “6 Underground”.

Filmography

Thanks to his approach and the continuous research, he has collaborated with hundreds of movies, along side directors as: Riddley Scott, Hugh Hudson, Michael Apted, Michael Bay, George Clooney, Spike Lee, Robert Zemeckis, Antoine Fuqua, Roland Elmerick, Paolo Sorrentino, Claire McCarthy, Niccolò Ammaniti, Timur Beckmambetov, Andrej Končalovskij, Vlad Marsavin and partecipating to projects such as “Equalizer 3”, “Immaculate”, “The House of Gucci”, “Tomb Raider”, “Ben Hur”, “The Witches”, “Zoolander 2”, “Wonderwell”, “All the money of the World”, “Hallucinaut”, “Dampyr”, “Marie Magdalene”, “The Witches” and series like “Those About to Die”, “Catch 22”, “The Alienist: Angel of Darkness”, “Domina”, “Anna”, “Rome”, “The Borgia”.

Collaborations

In the last years he has been collaborating with GUCCI’s Alessandro Michele for his performances and fashion shows, like “Fall Winter 2018”, the “MET-New York” of 2018 with Maurizio Cattelan and of 2019 with Jared Leto, and with Hyper realistic creations for the “Gucci’s Garden” in Florence and Beijing.

In 2022 he participates in the BIENNALE ARTE in Venice with the Ophicina group with two creations “Archeus” at Forte Marghera and “Dafne” in the Venice Pavilion.

Among the expositions that have been showcasting his work in these years there are Videocittà “Aeffetti: Persona” at the Fori Imperiali in 2018, in 2019 “La Meccanica dei Mostri, da Rambaldi a Makinarium” at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome.

He is also teacher of “History of Special and visual Effects” and “Special make up Effects” at the Scuola Nazionale di Cinematografia CSC in Rome and the Accademia di trucco del Teatro Alla Scala in Milan.

Clara Tosi Pamphili

She works in a contemporary style that combines the skills of art, design, architecture, and fashion, with cinema as an essential part of Italy’s creative DNA.
 
Her work primarily focuses on researching and promoting the archives of Italian fashion and costume tailors, with the aim of bringing to light a unique heritage of both authentic garments and stage costumes.
 
In addition to curating exhibitions and publications and teaching, she coordinated the creation of performances with Tilda Swinton and Olivier Saillard in 2014, with Vanessa Beecroft at Cinecittà VB93 and Palermo Palazzo Abatellis VB94, and with Thomas De Falco for the 2025 Architecture Biennale.

Lucia Cingolani

Lucia Cingolani (Foligno, class 1979) is an Italian Make-up Artist, Hair Stylist and Wig Maker, active in theater, art and cinema branches.

After a course of studies in makeup and hairdressing schools in Italy, in 2005 she began her professional training in the United States until her debut at the Seattle Opera. Returning to Italy, she worked for Arena di VeronaTeatro Regio di Parma, until 2016 when she became the Make Up & Hair Supervisor at the Teatro Dell’Opera in Rome.

In 2020 she permanently joined Leonardo Cruciano’s team, specializing as a creator and Art Finisher about hair, fur, feathers and fur parts of the hyper-realistic creations.

She is currently a founding member of the Imaginari Factory.

She working for movies Ripley, The Decameron, Mamma mafia, Equalaizer 3, Those About to Die, Immaculate. She also worked for fashion projects, such as La Traviata by Valentino, Philip Glass Evening by DiorGucci Garden museum projects  and Sisley Fashion Week Milan events.

She collaborates with movie directors such as Valentino Garavani, Damiano Michieletto, Sofia Coppola, Mario Martone, Pier Luigi Pizzi, Luca Ronconi, Robert Carsen, Davide Livermore, Pippo Del Bono, and with artists such as Placido Domingo, Andrea Bocelli, Anna Netrebko, Adriana Asti, Eleonora Abbagnato, Alessandra Ferri.

She exhibited her art creations Dafne and Archeus at the XX Biennale di Venezia.

Alessandro Catalano

Alessandro Catalano was born in Rome on 2 March 1988. He started to dedicate professional interest in FX, sculpture and prop making after high school diploma, as a self-taught until 2008. His first experience in scenography and FX workshops was the real training in filmmaking, and it was crucial to become passionate about this scope. In 2017 he started his collaboration with Leonardo Cruciano, after some years as a freelancer with make-up artists and workshops. From 2017 to 2021 he worked as studio manager, leading various fashion, art and movie projects, collaborating with film directors such as Ridley Scott, George Clooney, Roland Emmerich.

In 2023 the partnership changed into a deep transformation. He is currently a Company founding member of the Imaginari Factory.

 

Federico Iori

Born in Viterbo in 1995, in 2014 he graduated from the U. Midossi Art Institute, Civita Castellana.

From 2014 to 2017 he attended the courses of the State Mint (S.A.M), working as a scholarship holder in the Scuola dell’Arte della Medaglia in 2017-2019.

He dedicates his studies in graphic and sculptural representation techniques for applied art and art printing, digital 3D modeling and prototyping technologies for integration with traditional techniques. In 2021 the collaboration with Leonardo Cruciano began as a 3D modeler for the Cinema and Art sectors.
